Hi Mr. James how are you doing and thanks for this great video you made. please i have a concern. i shoot most times 5.7k on black magic 6kpro and adobe premier edit without issues but taking the 6k XML file to davinci does not load up at all. it gets stuck and refuses to load. but normal 4k format is working well. what could be the cause??

Excellent video James, nice one, thanks for posting it - I was wondering if Mazda gave much of a brief with parameters to work in beforehand? Did you do much development of ideas with them before being let loose on it as it were. Such as, did you run the music in your pre-shoot-edit by them for approval, did they go with your first pics or did you give options, how did that work? I imagine you might have storyboarded the shoot out for them to give them a visual overview of the idea? Or was it much looser then that?

I've found the best investments really are the things you don't want to buy. So spend a lot on those to get high quality so you never have to buy them again! Things like light stands, hard transport cases, tripods...etc. They suck to buy but they are such high use items that if you buy cheap, they break and you just end up spending even more to constantly replace them.

Best and smartest investment I made for my editing laptop is leasing it through Apple. If you have a business account, you can lease it for a few years and then exchange it after the lease is up. I'm always going to be up to date.

So basically if it is exciting, expensive and a flashy novelty it's probably a bad investment. And if it's seemingly boring and simple it's probably a good, reliable and sound investment!
